🤓 The team
You will be member of the Income Tax team (within the Securities Team), responsible for managing and accounting coupons, reimbursements, as well as monitoring operations until their settlement.
The Income tax team is also responsible for the content of tax documents, the recovery of withholding at source under double taxation agreements between countries, and reporting in the context of QI and FFI agreements.

But here’s the exciting part: you’ll be helping launch this activity from scratch in Lisbon, working closely with our experienced team in Switzerland.
The role will be based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, 1990-084 Lisboa, Portugal).
👨‍🔧 Your responsibilities
Controls and accounting of coupons and reimbursements on awarded markets
Management of optional dividends including mailing and instructions for custodians
Monitoring of operations, follow-ups with our custodians, tracking of cash break
Annual review for US tax reclassification
Control of proper application of taxes charged to clients
Contacts with bank clients
Tax reconciliations of operations to ensure proper fiscal reports production for our clients banks
Participation in company projects
Proactive drives and implements process enhancement (continuous improvement)
Ensure training of new colleagues were required

 Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer in Luxembourg, the Head of Compliance ensures that the Lisbon Branch operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.

Main Responsibilities
 Ensure the branch’s activities comply with local regulations and Group policies, adapting governance texts to local requirements.
 Oversee financial security processes: AML/CFT, fraud prevention, conflict of interest, insider information, sanctions and data protection.
 Perform compliance risk assessments and implement appropriate control frameworks and monitoring programs.
 Promote a strong compliance culture within the branch, advising and training staff on relevant topics.
Supervise compliance controls, validate risk mappings, and follow up on recommendations and corrective actions.
 Prepare and submit required internal and regulatory reports in a timely manner.
 Manage client complaints in accordance with regulations.
 Liaise with local regulators and authorities, representing the bank in coordination with the General Manager and the Chief Compliance Officer.
 Contribute to transversal projects impacting operations and regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, IDD, ESG, ethics, etc.).
 Implement Group compliance tools and ensure alignment with Head Office standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Join the Client Data team, where you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and updating the KYC (Know Your Customer) database.
